Biography

The Spiral Saxophone Quartet was established in 1996 while its founder members were studying at Trinity College of Music in London.

Since then, they have variously studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

The quartet has played at a number of London’s top venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the BBC Radio Theatre and the Wigmore Hall. Their repertoire includes many jazz standards as well as a number of popular tunes but they are most at home with contemporary saxophone music that makes the most of the unique sounds and qualities of a saxophone quartet.

The quartet regularly perform at a wide variety of concerts and engagements, ranging from evening recitals to workshops and educational events throughout the UK. They also direct and perform with the Barnet Saxophone Ensemble whom they coach and have built up to be one of the largest and most active groups of young saxophonists in the country.
